Here are a few tips on how to help manage a group of young children:
One of the best ways to keep children on track is to keep activities short and fast-paced. If they have been sitting for a while, have them stand and move to a song. You can move to their desks to play on the bells after spending the first part of the lesson at the carpet.
When you learn children’s names, speak kindly to them, and listen with 100 percent attention when they speak to you, you will build a relationship of mutual respect. You will have modeled the kind of behavior you hope to have them demonstrate.
